Assembly Technician
Job Type: Full Time, Employee
Experience: Prior Experience Desired, Not Required
Education: Highschool Diploma or GED
Job Title: Assembler, Level 1
Job Description:
This role performs assembly of products including brake calipers, distribution blocks, brake lines, rotors, and other subassemblies. The person is also responsible for achieving quality and safety standards, adhering to schedules, sustaining inventory accuracy, and maintaining work area cleanliness.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Picking components and hardware items per work orders.
- Fitting parts and assembling products to stock and to order.
- Cycle counting inventoried items per schedule to maintain accuracy.
- Requesting inventory when below minimum quantity.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Notifies supervisor immediately if potential hazards exist.
- Documents daily job status.
- Maintains work area cleanliness, re-stocked shelves / bins, and discard used corrugated.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Capable of demonstrating a high level of accuracy, quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction, coordinate and communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to a schedule and be self-motivated.
- Ability to handle varying daily priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to read instructions and calculate figures and amounts.
- Basic computer and keyboard skills.
- Capable of learning new skills and procedures.
Job Type:
- Full-time
- First shift (7:00am -3:30pm, Monday-Friday)
- Overtime available
- Pay range $17-$20/hour based on capability
Education/Experience:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Previous transferable work experience is desired
